A writer friend of mine, Chris Stocking, is very excited to reveal the cover, designed by The Book Cover Machine, of his forthcoming novel BLACK POWDER BRIGADE.

Black Powder Brigade Book Cover

THE HUNT FOR A MADMAN BEGINS…

THE NEW WORLD – A group of elite soldiers known as the Black Powder Brigade patrol the world in secret, searching for strange and deadly creatures to ensure the natural order is safe.

Victoria Sorrel, operating under the lie that she is a boy, joins these men in their hunt for unusual creatures in hopes that it will satisfy her hunger for adventure. But, things take a dark turn for Victoria and the Black Powder Brigade. Colonists come up missing, an unusual number of trade ships start to arrive at Boston Harbor, and the madman Isaac Carter escapes from prison.

The colonies become overrun with monsters, murder, and betrayal.

The New World hangs in the balance, and it’s up to Victoria, The Black Powder Brigade, and some newly made friends to pry it from the clutches of evil.

Add it on Goodreads…

I have been following Mr. Stocking’s career for some time now. I read his first published novel, the now retired BLOODCREST, and while I found it a little disappointing in places, I knew I had found a keen Writer. Every time Mr. Stocking steps out of the gate he grows stronger. I have little doubt he’s one to watch.

Deb E was born in New Zealand’s North Island, but her parents corrected that within months, moving south to Dunedin and staying there. Childhood nights were spent falling asleep to cover versions of Cliff Richard and the Shadows and other Rock ’n Roll classics played by her father’s band, and days were spent dancing to 45 LPs. Many of her first writing experiences were copying down song lyrics. She graduated to scientific reports when she studied a nematophagus fungus in the Zoology department of the University of Otago, trading all traces of popularity for usefulness… then traded both for fiction.
