Six Sentence Sunday – What’s Your Kind? #SixSunday

Hey all! Thought I’d give this Six Sentence Sunday another blast.

Anyway, with Healer’s Touch due to be released in January, I thought I might work on garnering some interest.

A brief background: In the beginning of “Healer’s Touch”, Llew is passing as a boy in order to avoid the dangers of being a young girl living on the streets. Here, her new companion, Cassidy, is admiring the girl they are escorting to her future husband.

“Of course, men like you an’ me never get girls like that. They keep to their own kind and we keep to ours.”

He wasn’t wrong. But Cassidy didn’t look like much of a street rat.

“And what’s your kind?” asked Llew.

Cassidy’s face lit up in a grin. “Generous.”

And again, here’s a blurb:

Llew has a gift. Her body heals itself from any injury—but at a cost to anyone nearby.

In a country fearful of magic, freeing yourself from the hangman’s noose by wielding forbidden power brings dangers of its own. After dying and coming back, Llew drops from the gallows into the hands of Jonas: the man carrying the knife with the power to kill her—permanently.

The last of his warrior race, Jonas is haunted by memories of his loved ones. At his side, the cursed knife that took their lives, which also acts as a cruel reminder of his pain. Jonas has learned the hard way that caring for others means their death.

Jealous of his half-brother’s celebrated strength and speed, Braph created the device that gives him the power to perform magic, any magic. But it needs fuel—the blood of a healer …

Childhood nights were spent falling asleep to cover versions of Cliff Richard and the Shadows and other Rock ’n Roll classics played by her father’s band, and days were spent dancing to 45 LPs. Many of her first writing experiences were copying down song lyrics. I love Cassidy’s response to Llew’s question! Very humorous six. Your blurb sounds really interesting too. Good luck for your launch in January.

This was very funny. So enjoyed it. Great Six! 🙂
