Music: New Zealand Music Month – P-Money

Hey world, New Zealand has its own big name DJ (actually, a few, but the others probably tend more toward the Dub sound that is so popular over here), like . . . uh . . . OK, here is where I admit my lack of knowledge of the big DJs. Dance hall onst-onst is not my thang.

That being said, I do like a couple of P-Money’s tunes, both of which I will link to today.

First, I’m going to pop up “Stop The Music”, featuring Scribe, who I have already showcased earlier in the month. I like the “heaviness” of this song. I’m a fan of cross-genre, so dance music with a bit of heavy interests me, rock with a bit of country, and vice versa . . .

Here goes:

I also rather liked this one when it came out – less interesting, as it’s more pure pop/dance, but still rather cool. The video is pretty fun, anyway.

Deb E was born in New Zealand’s North Island, but her parents corrected that within months, moving south to Dunedin and staying there. Childhood nights were spent falling asleep to cover versions of Cliff Richard and the Shadows and other Rock ’n Roll classics played by her father’s band, and days were spent dancing to 45 LPs. Many of her first writing experiences were copying down song lyrics. She graduated to scientific reports when she studied a nematophagus fungus in the Zoology department of the University of Otago, trading all traces of popularity for usefulness… then traded both for fiction. Mum of one human & four fur-babies.
