Chapter 3

I have decided to re-share Chapter 3. It is a revised version, but I sense that it still requires some tweaking here and there before I would consider it publishable. However, I have a strong urge to keep moving forward with my re-writes, at this stage. So, where Chapter 3 is at the moment will do just fine. I’m still pretty happy with chapters 1 and 2. They’re promising to be considered complete.

OK, and now for something completely different…

I have always loved my music, and I am influenced by it. I keep meaning to share the playlist I listen to while I write (in fact, I used to have a page for it, but I think posts will be better), so here goes. The following song is right up there at the moment as a general favourite, as well as achieving the sexy tones I hope to dip in to with my story (without going all Mills and Boony).

New Zealand band, too, which just makes it even more awesome.

Deb E was born in New Zealand’s North Island, but her parents corrected that within months, moving south to Dunedin and staying there. Childhood nights were spent falling asleep to cover versions of Cliff Richard and the Shadows and other Rock ’n Roll classics played by her father’s band, and days were spent dancing to 45 LPs. Many of her first writing experiences were copying down song lyrics. She graduated to scientific reports when she studied a nematophagus fungus in the Zoology department of the University of Otago, trading all traces of popularity for usefulness… then traded both for fiction. Mum of one human & four fur-babies.
