Progress made

298 words up on yesterday’s total, giving me 43,719 words.

That’s not bad considering my morning, including deleting a large chunk, making minor and major adjustments to fit my new direction, and a baby with a changing sleep pattern (I thought it was great when he had a sleep in, I didn’t have to get up before dark for once… but he didn’t sleep again until the afternoon. Luckily some of his play time is self-directed, under supervision, so I can get a little light work done then).

I have actually written 1224 words today. But I deleted over 900, hence the lower total. Not bad going, really. Hubby going to hockey practice in the evening helps.

I estimate another 1500 words to finish Chapter 11. It is possible that I could achieve that tomorrow, barring unforeseen circumstances.

Go me.

Deb E was born in New Zealand’s North Island, but her parents corrected that within months, moving south to Dunedin and staying there. Childhood nights were spent falling asleep to cover versions of Cliff Richard and the Shadows and other Rock ’n Roll classics played by her father’s band, and days were spent dancing to 45 LPs. Many of her first writing experiences were copying down song lyrics. She graduated to scientific reports when she studied a nematophagus fungus in the Zoology department of the University of Otago, trading all traces of popularity for usefulness… then traded both for fiction. Mum of one human & four fur-babies.
