Chapter Ten

So far so good at sticking to one chapter per week.

I got a bit distracted during the second half of this week. Actually, a big part of my slow progress was that I have a plot outline all worked out, and I just knew that Chapter 10 was going to mess with that. I was resisting, by not writing it. Now I have written it and I’m going to have to figure out where to go from here. Of course, I have some idea, but there are a few options with regards to how each character should react to how things currently stand. And then there is the eternal question: What horrible thing can I do to my protagonists next? That’s where the real fun is, right?

If you haven’t yet, don’t forget to VOTE for me! You have until July 17, but feel free not to leave it until the last minute.

Deb E was born in New Zealand’s North Island, but her parents corrected that within months, moving south to Dunedin and staying there. Childhood nights were spent falling asleep to cover versions of Cliff Richard and the Shadows and other Rock ’n Roll classics played by her father’s band, and days were spent dancing to 45 LPs. Many of her first writing experiences were copying down song lyrics. She graduated to scientific reports when she studied a nematophagus fungus in the Zoology department of the University of Otago, trading all traces of popularity for usefulness… then traded both for fiction. Mum of one human & four fur-babies.
